Words and Music by Raccoon
As recorded on White Horse Ranch Sessions
The
chord progressions to this song are:
(actually, there are a few progression in this version that he dropped…I
will add them later)
·
E, F#m*, G#m*, F#m*
·
E, G, A, B
·
E**, B, A, B, E6, B, A, B
*
Note: The E, F#m and the G#m are the same as the “Sweet Melissa” chords. The
open E is played normally while the F# and G# are played where you would bar
them starting at the 2nd and 4th frets except you leave
the bottom two strings (B and E) open. (I will add chord diagrams later). Also
there is a lick played off the G#m and F#m with the picking on the high-E and B
strings (this will be tabbed out later).
**
The E during the chorus is done using the A-form at the 7th fret.
But the 2nd time the E is played during the chorus, the chords is
really E6 which is done by doing the same A-form E chord at the 7th
fret, but then also adding the C# note on the 9th fret of the high-E
string.
